1971-72 Big Ten Championship Golden Gopher Basketball Reunion.

The University of Minnesota, in recognizing the 40th anniversary, brings back former teammates, staff and managers from the champion 71-72 basketball season back to Williams arena.

That team won the Big Ten Championship for the first time in 35 years (1937). Bill Musselman, who was the Gopher coach, later became the Minnesota Timberwolves first coach. Activities begin on Friday, December 2, 7:00 AM, at the Twin Cities Dunkers Breakfast. Later on Friday there will be a social hour and dinner at TCF Football Stadium at 6:00 PM. Then on Saturday, December 3, the team including Dave Winfield, Jim Brewer, former NBA star will be introduced at halftime of the Golden Gophers vs. USC Trojans.
